BioSpectrometer® fluorescence

BioSpectrometer® fluorescence

The Eppendorf BioSpectrometers are spectrophotometers that combine easy handling with highly reproducible analysis. A variety of cuvettes expands the options even further from microvolume to macrovolume measurements.

Product Information

The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence is an expansion of the Eppendorf BioSpectrometer basic and features an integrated fluorescence module. Measurements can be flexibly executed in the UV/Vis or fluorescence range. The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence can be used to increase the measuring range for biomolecules (nucleic acids and proteins) by a factor of 1,000, compared to UV measurements. What's more, fluorescence dyes allow a more accurate and reliable quantification due to the fact that these dyes bind specifically to the target biomolecule. UV/Vis spectroscopy and fluorescence are complementary methods. The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence is the first spectrophotometer on the market which combines both measuring methods in one small, compact device. In combination with the microvolume cuvette, Eppendorf µCuvette® G1.0, it can measure dsDNA from 1 pg/µL to 1,500 ng/µL.
